Baby products banned in California for chemicals used to make them

Nothing is too much when it comes to your baby. Banning baby products that may harm your loved ones will never be an issue. Or will be? Well, seems that in California, banning baby products with chemicals was something that was done, that government put above commercial interest. This is one of those good things I hear about.

"In recent news, California has banned baby toys and other products that appear to contain more than a trace amount of a chemical called phthalate, used to soften plastics. This chemical, according to scientists, has been known to cause a variety of health problems."

This comes somehow in the same package with the previous post. Don't buy second hand baby products (I was speaking about buying an used exersaucer) since it ma harm your baby by carrying unknown diseases. But chemicals inside baby products is worse since you don't even know about it. You buy a new baby exersaucer and you find that your baby gets ill and you just don't know why.

I think that this should be extended to food, I mean a more drastic control since food is always tested and reviewed, but there are still sooo many chemical products in food markets that you don't know what to buy for your baby.

I think we should all think about it and react. What do you think?
